The Bible said it..the love of money is the root of all evils.These terrorists were able to come into the country because they knew our ways. Our entry points of borders and airports are full of Kenyan employees who take bribe and close their eyes. Most of our other security officials have been very busy minting money by extortion and bribery to set criminals free. Kenyan citizens will do anything to get money and so while the thief came, all were busy trying to make as much as possible. We forgot about the nation, we forgot about our motherland because of loving money too much..and the fruits are disastrous. Just like in August 1998, through corruption, Kenyan citizens cooperated with the bombers just because of money. Who knows, perhaps some took money from these terrorists and closed their eyes just because of the love of money. have we learnt something from excessive love of money? I highly doubt. What can i say, is this the last? or might we be in for surprise again.We have been shouting at the top of our voices, that The Kenyan security apparatus need a total overhaul, a longer period of training and periodical drills on eventualities, but the Kenyan government officials arrogantly tells us..They are in control. Am not rebuking anybody coz its a time to mourn,but apart from tough talk, What is the way forward?
