The Bible tells us that God is Love, and that God loves us. But - TopicsExpress

The Bible tells us that God is Love, and that God loves us. But man’s sin caused our separation from God. The loving kindness of the Lord draws us near to Him, but His Holiness requires man to be cleansed and made holy to be restored to full fellowship with God. This restoration of man required a blood sacrifice, but there was no blood on earth found worthy to take away the sin of all mankind, once, and for all. So God promised that HE would come and save His people from their sins. As God spoke the world into existence, at the fullness of time, His Word (or Promise) became flesh, made of His Spirit and born of a virgin, they called His name Jesus. God provided a way to salvation by the gospel of Jesus Christ by way of His death, burial and resurrection. Through faith in His name and obeying this gospel we may be reconciled with God. (John 1:12, 14; 1 Cor.15:1-4) We must simply have a willing heart to believe, and submit ourselves to the teachings of Christ for complete restoration with God. Jesus taught and gave His disciples (apostles) full understanding of the things that pertain to life, salvation and godliness. Now, it is through their instructions, the Apostles’ doctrine, that we learn how to obtain salvation, live holy, in right standing with God and man, in love, peace, and even joy, through His Spirit, even in the midst of the most difficult times and circumstances. What we believe must line up as the scripture says what to believe. SO BE SURE TO LOOK UP AND READ THE SCRIPTURES FOR YOURSELF so you won’t be deceived by the many false doctrines of the world. (Matt. 16:18-19; John 3:3, 5; 15-21; 7:38-39; 17:20; Luke 24:45-48; Acts 2:42, 47; Heb. 5:9; James 4:7-10) Jesus said, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them." (John. 14:21-24; John 8:42) The measure of a man’s love for God is in a man’s determination to keep God’s commandments, living according to the principles of God, taught by Christ. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. (1 Peter 5:5) When we humble ourselves and repent of our sins, His Love accepts us as we are; but His holiness requires that we are washed and sanctified, putting off the evil desires of our fleshly mind, and putting on the things that make for a good conscience toward God and others. (Rom. 2:14-16) Jesus says, “Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) You must be born again, of the water and the Spirit, to enter the kingdom of God. That is, repent of your sins, be properly baptized, in water, by a qualified clergy calling on the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness, and washing away, of your sins. As we walk in newness of life, The Spirit of Christ is given to those that obey Him. (John 3:3, 5, 8; Acts 2:37-38; 5:32; 22:16; Rom. 6:4; 1 Peter 3:21) The Spirit of Christ seals us, leads, guides and helps us, giving us all we need to be successful in this life and in obtaining eternal life to come. (2 Peter 1:3) Our ways lead to trouble, but God’s ways lead us to living well. Won’t you come to Jesus, trust Him as your Lord and Savior, be washed and sanctify your soul in Christ to receive eternal life? Jesus said to learn of Him and find rest for your souls. With all your getting, get understanding. (Matt. 11:29; Prov. 4:7) So we invite you to come, learn more about these wonderful things; let your soul taste and see that the Lord is good, full of love and tender mercies.
