The Black Family lives below the poverty level for a single individual, it is the only group in the US that does so....we cannot even blame anyone else for this, not when we have control over such a matter by investing in ourselves and our own communities. Instead of buying books from Barnes & Nobles or Books-A-Million, get them at your local bookstore...instead of buying your foods from a major franchise, buy it from a local fresh market or invest in farming...instead of getting your nails done at a Korean nail salon, someone go to Cosmotology school and become a nail tech. Everyone else is making money on simple things that we could and should be opening up ourselves and investing in in order to keep our dollars within.
