The Blessing of Waiting God stretches our patience to build us - TopicsExpress

The Blessing of Waiting God stretches our patience to build us but waiting patiently for something to be done or happen is hard. Many of us don’t like to wait. We dislike long queues at bus stops, supermarkets and most of all traffic jam. Many times, patience evaporates when we are pushed to our limits or if we are running late for an important meeting and probably we are stuck in traffic. Being forced to wait accumulates up stress and when that happens we not only fail to be patient but we undercut the Spirit’s work in our lives. Patience is not only a virtue but a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22) which means that demonstrations of impatience reveal the sour fruit of our fallen hearts rather than the sweetness of Jesus in our lives. Our God is a patient God therefore, when we abandon patience, we miss the opportunity to show our world the glory of God through our lives. Remember, while we are waiting, God is working on our lives to develop those hard to achieve spiritual virtues of meekness, kindness and patience with others around us. But more important is we learn how to lean on God and to trust in Him as we go through tough and good times. Have you been praying for a job opening? Healing? Restoration of a broken relationship? Trust in God and wait upon the Lord patiently to come through for you because He has promised He will never leave us nor forsake us.
