The Bob Cole faculty are working on updating our Mission Statement tomorrow. In preparation, I asked each of them to write their personal mission statement. Mine is still too wordy, but here it is: To be generous of my time and attention through patient teaching and service in an effort to help others to excel, focus their minds with clarity, and discern deep wisdom about the holistic arts of music and ideas as they relate to our cultures, ensuring a deep connection between mind and heart, intellect and instinct, knowledge and experience.
