The Bonapartes Gull first seen yesterday still remained in the small pond along Garden Way in Rhinebeck. I was very concerned when I first saw it, it floated along the edge on the pond, looked like it was trying to fly but bobbled in the water. Was it sick, should I call a Rehabber? Luckily Barbara Butler showed up and told me that it had put on quite a flight display for another Waterman member earlier. She no sooner told me that and it took off for a spin around the pond! It evidently flew off towards the larger pond later in the afternoon. Life Bird (well, not really but eBird thinks so!). Thank you, Barbara Post for reporting this bird!
