The Book of Revelation is a symbolic record or description of the whole spiritual history of mankind. It does not only refer to a period of time that is at the “end of the world”, which lasts for only “7 Years”. And, the “numbers” are always used in symbolic ways and not in literal ways. So that, the number 666 and the number 144,000 and the number 7 and the number 1000 and the number 2 and the number 12 and the number 3 ½ are all symbolic of “something” spiritual. To interpret The Book of Revelation in literal terms or in a literal way, would be a major mistake. But, that is the main problem, if The Book of Revelation is only mainly symbolic, then that leaves the whole book open for interpretation and personal interpretation. The thing is though, that the book was written in such a way, that it could not be understood by mankind until the later times, such as they are now. And, it could not be understood by the natural mind of Man or by the material mind of Man. It would have to be understood by the spiritual mind of Man or by the spiritual intuition/revelation of the mind of Man. Even The Bible (in The Old Testament - The Book of Daniel) itself says that certain books are “sealed”, until the times of the end. And, in The Book of Revelation it describes to John The Apostle, how the book would be revealed to mankind, at the time of the end, when “The Lamb of God” would open “The Seal”, and allow the meaning of the book to be revealed to mankind, when the time came for it to be revealed to mankind. John The Apostle was not allowed to say what he had just heard, at the time of the revelation to him, 2000 years ago. Now, 2000 years later, mankind is allowed to understand more, even though the whole book is still “sealed” to some extent, in that it takes a spiritually minded human being to even begin to understand the spiritual symbolism, within The Book of Revelation. And, there is also the whole problem of some of the things written within The Book of Revelation, which are not even accurate or true, in and of themselves. Sometimes it uses the phrase “The Four Beasts”, when it really should use the term “The Four Living Beings”. Just as The Bible itself is not 100% accurate or 100% true. (historically and literally in some places) The same thing applies to The Book of Revelation itself. Even The Apostle John himself admits within The Book of Revelation, that he did not understand what he was being shown and what he was being told. So, The Angel showing John these things had to ask John, “Do you understand these things?”. And John said, “No Sir, only you know the truth of these things”. In reference to The Seven (7) Mountains and Seven (7) Hills on which “The Woman” sits, etc. So, even John himself didn’t even understand the very book (or “letter”) which he was writing himself. Now it’s up to us humans in the future, to spiritually understand the book and to spiritually interpret the book, somehow and in some way. Good Luck!........is all that I can say. The Interpreter!
