The Brave One, starring Jodie Foster : A Personal Review Back when l was a kid l saw the original version of this movie.. or a movie identical to it. And as a kid l didnt want the woman who got beaten nearly to death to stop shooting down every scumbag that crossed her path. Now over 25 years later, l watch this new version and what has changed in my reaction?! Nothing! l dont care about law or any of that self-righteous crap. lf something like that happens to a woman and her reaction is buying a gun and shooting any mugger or thug who tries to come after her then l say she deserves a medal. All l could think of while watching this movie was my wife and l. l kept thinking about what happened to the protagonist and her boyfriend and if it would have happened to my wife and l. l kept thinking what would she do. And l was stunned at the resemblance between her and Jodie Fosters character. The same inner will and strength. The same vulnerability and fragility. And in all fairness l dont think Batman would bring such a woman to justice. lf he had to hed stop her but not capture her... not unless she becomes a threat to innocents which wasnt the case in this story. l think for some reason this movie has touched on a very personal nerve with me that it will affect some of my coming Batman tales. https://youtube/watch?v=a_PT4zvbhFw
