The British Jewish Community feels that we should find a visible way to express our collective grief at the murder of our three students, Eyal, Gilad and Naftali, and our solidarity with the people of Israel at this time of sadness. We have therefore organized a candle lit vigil of reflection, comfort of the mourners and support against terrorism taking place tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd July. The event will take place outside the Embassy of Israel, 2 Palace Green, London W8 4QB (nearest tube, High St Kensington). Please gather at 6.45pm. The event will be addressed by the Ambassador of Israel, Daniel Taub, the Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner and others will offer their reflections. It is being supported by the Embassy of Israel, the Jewish Leadership Council, the Board of Deputies of British Jews, BICOM, UJIA, CST, the Zionist Federation, We Believe in Israel and the UJS. Please do what you can to forward this information to your networks and anyone who might be interested, to encourage as many people as possible to show their solidarity with the people of Israel. If friends who are outside London would like to organise a vigil event to coincide with this one, it can be organised at 6.45pm. Please let us know what you are arranging. May the families be comforted amongst the mourners for Zion and for Jerusalem. - from the JLC, the Board of Deputies and the organisations listed above
