The British leave Wills late The average person in Britain is waiting until the age of 72 before deciding to make a Will, according to a survey by Remember a Charity. 22% of the respondents to the survey, also said they were worried about Inheritance tax for which relatives would be liable after their death. Another interesting fact is that 70% of people do not have a Will. This results in an intestacy situation with your estate going to your next of kin who you may not want to benefit from your estate. For example if you and your spouse are separated but not divorced your spouse would inherit your estate rather than your current partner. So the moral is do not leave your will too late. We currently have 20% off simple Wills. Don’t delay making a Will - Act now and phone us on 01473 355160.
