The Browne Leadership Fellows Program is an interdisciplinary - TopicsExpress

The Browne Leadership Fellows Program is an interdisciplinary fellowship aimed at preparing students to be engaged civic leaders. The program targets current Sophomores and Juniors for a spring term 1-credit seminar and 12-week summer Community Action Projects. This competitive program provides undergraduate students from all disciplines with an intellectually stimulating opportunity building knowledge, skills and values. Participants will receive a $3,000 stipend during the summer. Full details are available at socialwork.pitt.edu/academics/basw/browne-leadership-fellows-program. I appreciate your help in promoting the opportunity last year. Our inaugural class of Browne Leadership Fellows is a wonderful collection of undergraduate students from across the University, reflecting the interdisciplinary focus of the program. We will be hosting an event in early September to highlight the work the Fellows have done this year, expect a “Save the Date” in the coming weeks! We are accepting applications through September 20, with notifications scheduled for mid-October. Please promote this opportunity far and wide, and encourage any students interested in learning more to contact me directly. Best, Keith J. Caldwell, MSW Assistant Professor BASW Program Director School of Social Work University of Pittsburgh 2108 Cathedral of Learning
