The Bruins have signed Jarome Iginla. No, seriously. The veteran winger, who famously spurned the B’s to sign with Pittsburgh at the trade deadline, is now headed to Boston, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie and Aaron Ward. His contract is reportedly a one-year deal worth $6 million. Iginla was the most decorated scorer in Flames history before being traded to the Penguins in February, leading the franchise in career goals, points and games played while being named to six All-Star games. The 36-year-old tallied five goals and six assists in 13 games after the trade, and an additional 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in the playoffs. The Bruins have yet to confirm the signing. Update: ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun has a more detailed breakdown of Iginla’s reported contract.
