The Buckley brothers are continuing their action against the locked out greyhound workers . In the morning 9 locked out workers and cllr kenny will be in the high court. Last Wednesday while Michael Buckley was in the LRC negotiating with SIPTU, his legal team were seeking notice of motions to issue to these men to jail or/ and seek compensation for the loss of earnings for greyhound from the men. Many of the families are distressed that greyhound will attempt to take their homes. Last night letters were delivered to the homes of these men from Greyhound stating that the men should consider the way they voted today and Linked it to the high court case. The LRC indicated that no letters should be sent to the workers. We have not seen this aggressive action towards workers for over a 100 years when William Martin Murphy and his industrial allies starved the men, women and children back to work in the 1913 lockout. The community support group are appealing to anyone who has time in the morning to gather at the courts to express solidarity and support to the workers and their families at 10.30am. If any worker is jailed the support group are calling a protest at 6pm, meeting at the Larkin statue in OConnell st. Solidarity and respect to the 78 men and their families.
