The CAS team supports regular stray feeders on our streets who feed responsibly. We advocate sterilization so there are no longer more unwanted litters being born to our streets. Sterilization also reduces the risk of dog fights and females on heat being hurt. CAS traps the dogs, sterilizes them and returns them to their natural environment. Many street dogs live in construction or jungle areas and know little of what a warm bed or treat is. To them, survival and food is key. Many view our street dogs as menacing, dangerous and an eye sore. We strongly beg to differ. CAS has been working with Ashlee and Irene, a mother-daughter pair who feed a huge pack of street dogs with the goal of helping to sterilise them and keep the numbers constant and hopefully rehome a few over time. However, these dogs have been hit, chased and hurt by mankind so like many of our street dogs, they shun human contact making sterilisation tough. However, the CAS team is one of the few that actively travel to sites to trap the dogs as we do not believe in engaging dog trappers who may not use humane means to get hold of these dogs which is the last thing we want. We all hold full time jobs like Ashley and Irene but we have one thing in common, we love our street dogs. We do not want to see more suffer by being born to our harsh streets. We have sterilised almost the entire pack now and are left with just one female. Please support our work. We need your help to continue with our sterilisation programme and prevent more street dogs from being culled. It was no fault of theirs they were born to the street. Starting from $10, you can truly make a difference to these dogs lives and end the suffering of more puppies and dogs. This video was produced by Ashlee who also sings about her love for our street dogs. Help us help them. Visit causesforanimals/tnr---stray-management-program.html
