The Canadian Womens Hockey League (CWHL) All Star Game rosters were announced this morning. We are proud to introduce you to the eight players that will represent us in Toronto over the weekend of Dec 12-14. Last years CWHL Goaltender of the year Delayne Brian was one of six goaltenders selected. Sophomore defenseman Jessica Wong was the lone representative on the backend for the Inferno. Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalists Rebecca Johnston and Haley Irwin highlight the six forwards that Calgary is sending to the game, joined by veteran Jenna Cunningham who led the Inferno in scoring two years ago while rookie Jessica Campbell fresh off her 4 Nations Cup Gold Medal, Brittany Esposito and first round pick in this years draft Sarah Davis round out the impressive bunch of scorers going to the inaugural game. Fan voting will begin on November 29 for the two captains of the teams. The result will be announced on December 11. On Friday night all 42 players will attend the invitation only Draft event at the hotel. Captains will select five players to round out their starting line-ups. Thereafter, the teams will be selected by random (mini) stick draw a la road hockey. Congratulations once again to all our All Stars and fans we need your help to make sure that one of these exceptional players gets a chance to wear the C at the All Star game.
