The Central Florida Computer Society Windows Special Interest - TopicsExpress

The Central Florida Computer Society Windows Special Interest Group (WinSIG) starts a new chapter this Sunday, November 9, 2014. The SIG will open itself to the world. The meeting will be available through the web, live each month. This Sunday, you are invited to the Windows SIG meeting and the main CFCS meeting at the Maitland Public Library. However, if you cannot make it to the meeting, the Windows SIG will be available at https://cfcs.adobeconnect/winsig9nov/ beginning at 1:15pm. Please test your connection in advance at: https://cfcs.adobeconnect/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm as there may be a plugin that you will have to install. This will work on MACs as well as PCs, and there are Adobe Connect Apps for iOS & Android. As many of you know, Hewie Poplock has been the WinSIG leader for over 15 years. He is moving out of the area, but has volunteered to continue as the meeting host & presenter, but will do so from his home. The meetings always include information, tips, tricks and how-tos concerning Windows and computers, and now concentrating on Windows in general, Windows 7, 8.1 and even the Windows 10 Technical Preview. There is a dedicated page for the SIG at hewie.net/winsig which contains the meeting notes for every meeting going back to 2008. Everyone is invited to attend the WinSIG meeting. Please realize that these are informal and for the first few efforts may be filled with the fun of watching us try to make the technology work. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Hewie.
