The Chico Association of Realtors is proud to announce that we are making a contribution to The Jesus Center so they can open up a transition home for women who have successfully finished a program at the Sabbath House or at other local shelters. The Jesus Center is currently looking for a rental home which will house 9 women and be called House of Hope. As you know, we have a homeless issue here in Chico. A lot of groups are talking about what can be done about it, and our association wants to be a leader in giving a hand up and helping people get off the streets and into homes. The Jesus Center has a proven track record in getting homeless people back on their feet, under a roof and into the jobs. The partnership with this organization is as close to a guarantee for success as anyone could hope for. Watch for more details as they unfold--on Facebook, in emails and in our local news!!!!
