The Choice is Always Mine Had a couple of encounters with evil this past week! One affected my employment status. Promises were made that never materialized. Even though I worked hard and held up my part of the deal, the other party did not. But that other party just happened to be my boss, and so I ended up getting the short end of the stick.The other situation involved a real estate transaction concerning the sale of our condo. Documents were signed in good faith, but the other party eventually reneged. As a result of her antics we lost time, momentum, money, and possibly a house that we would like to purchase. Now, please, Im not looking for pity or sorrow, Im just looking to proclaim that God is still in charge of my life no matter what life brings my way. Self-seeking, self-consumed, self-concerned people who worship the unholy trinity of me, myself, and I do exist and will always be around. And, when their evil destructive ways cross my path, I need to remember two things. One, is that if I am not careful, I too can easily become a self-seeking jerk. Two, is that instead, I am called to be a self-sacrificing witness for Jesus Christ so that Gods goodness can still work in me and through me. In spite of what life may bring my way, I still know the way, and that way worships the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The choice is always mine!
