The Choice of APCs Candidates for thé 2015 Présidential - TopicsExpress

The Choice of APCs Candidates for thé 2015 Présidential Élection I make this post in response to thé choice of APCs Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates for thé 2015 Presidential élection in thé persons of Buhari and Osibanjo, respectively. Although thé choice was made a while ago, I have kept my response for personal reasons. By chosing Buhari as its candidate, APC has once more demonstrated its insensitivity to national security, peace and unity. Buharis call for bloodshed is a popular script in thé média; thé response of his followers to thé call also saw to several killings of Southernerns and thé destruction of their property in 2011. By chosing Buhari as its candidate for thé élection, APC has set thé stage for another post élection violence in 2015 as thé candidate remains un-electable (El Rufai, 2011). By presenting Osibanjo as its Vice presidential candidate, APC has shown Nigérians that thé party belongs to Tinubu, who almost single handedly appointed Oyegun as Chairman of thé party, decided thé venue of their Presidential primary, and appointed Osibanjo as thé Vice Presidential candidate after several days of indécision. Osibanjos appointement is a deliberate attempt aimed at neutralising thé islamic outlook of thé party; however, thé same coin serves an evil agenda against thé Church in Nigeria, an agenda that is also shared by boko haram; may thé enemies of thé Church never succeed. I call on thé Fédéral Government of Nigeria to ensure maximum security in thé Hausa Fulani areas where thé saï Buharis are dominant before, during and after thé élection. I also call on thé Church in Nigeria to resist thé temptation which Osibanjos appointement présents. At this critical period, thé Church, faced with a religio-political army who considers the Presidency their exclusive religious right, cannot afford division. Thé man on thé poster is Pastor Osibanjo but his total being is in thé service of a religious extremist and a sectional leader, as it pleases a political merchant who wants to extend his trade to thé centre. I call on Nigerians to vote to guarantee our religious freedom, thé safety of Christians and the ethnic minorities in thé North. Let us vote for thé freedom of thé press, freedom of speech and national transformation. Let us vote for a departure from thé military past and consolidate our democratic expérience by electing thé man who has no dictatorial and military background. Nigérians must not mortgage Nigeria in thé hands of a fraudulent political merchant. Things are not perfect but thé neutral and objective world and minds acknowlege the improvement in Nigerias economy, réduction of hunger, the development of Agriculture, thé return of railway, opening of 14 Universitiés mostly in Northern Nigeria, improvement in National high ways and Airports. We must not yield to thé objectives of terror by rejecting thé prime victim of thé terrorists. Nigeria belongs to all Nigérians. Let us vote to protect her future. APC, in acts and words, has made NO promise for a better Nigeria. Vote Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. God bless thé Fédéral Republic of Nigeria and Nigerians.
