The Christian Life Few weeks ago as I was driving back home - TopicsExpress

The Christian Life Few weeks ago as I was driving back home from the office, I spotted a sticker on a car that reads “Enjoy God!” I pondered many times at the inscription and came up with the analogy why many Christians easily fall away from the faith and sometimes became worse than their original unbelieving state. “Enjoy God?” I would like to clear one misconception about “the Christian life.” Many people are drawn into the Christian faith because they believed once they become a Christian, its all bed of roses from that point on. The Christian life is gloriously difficult, but the difficulty of it should not make us to faint and cave in, it rouses us up to overcome and endure valiantly. The Christians that would fall by the way side are those that came into the faith with this wrong idea that being a Christian would automatically pave the way for a green light to all the good tidings of life. Yes! There are abundant promises in the Bible of God’s divine provision, protection, preservation, love, and care: but the Christians should be cognizant of the fact that “it’s not an easy road as we are traveling to Heaven.” Trials, temptations, perils, troubles, and the pressures of life would assail. “True Christians” are not welcome everywhere. I use the term “true Christians” because there are “hypocritical Christians.” There are Christians that have perfected the act of hypocrisy to the extent you cannot distinguish between them and the chronic or perpetual sinners. They live their lives from Monday to Saturdays as harlots and hoodlums, but are holy saints only on Sundays. That is not the type of Christians I am talking about. I am talking about Christians that have made up their minds that comes sunshine, rain, sickness, and even death Heaven is their home. Such Christians are often rejected, alienated, deprived of legitimate privileges, persecuted, mocked, and sometimes killed (in Islamic and Communist countries). Dearly beloved, if you think that serving God and complete submission to the Lord Jesus Christ is all about “enjoyment” think twice. The song writer says “it’s not an easy road we are traveling to Heaven, for there are many thorns on the way; Its not an easy road, there are trials and troubles, And many are the dangers we meet;…” When you are determined to serve God with all your heart and yield yourself to the full control of the Holy Spirit, be ready for persecution, be ready to lose your precious friends, be ready for trials and temptation: but the good news is that Jesus Christ will be with you all the way. The song writer says “No, no, its not an easy road, No, no, its not an easy road. But Jesus walks with me and brightens my journey, and lightens every heavy load.” Amen. The Christian life is gloriously difficult, yet the difficulty is by no way comparable to the immeasurable glorious hope of Heaven. It is indeed not an easy road but, remember that Jesus Christ has promised to lead us all the way to His precious kingdom. Are you presently going through period of intense persecution, rejection, suffering, poverty, and loneliness because of your unshakeable determination to follow Christ? Cheer up! You are not alone Jesus will walk with you and brightens your journey, and lightens every heavy load. Then you can truly sit back and “Enjoy God!” both here on earth and in eternity. Blessed are your eyes for reading this message. Please, don’t let this message die: read it again and share with others. We will meet in Heaven if you follow in God’s Holy Path.
