The Church of God is a Christian seventh-day (or Sabbath, - TopicsExpress

The Church of God is a Christian seventh-day (or Sabbath, Sabbatarian) observing fundamentalist organization. Our basic philosophy is all are called to obey God and follow the Biblical example of Jesus. We honour Gods seventh day Sabbath for this reason as outlined. 1. As the seventh day Sabbath was exampled by God in Genesis. Israel was reminded to keep Gods seventh-day Sabbath in the commandments given by God at Sinai. 2.Jesus kept the seventh day Sabbath during his youth and ministry and proclaimed himself Lord of the Sabbath. 3. The apostles are recorded as meeting on the seventh-day Sabbath after Jesus death. 4. The apostles also remind us constantly of the commandments of God, James even says to break one is to break all. We are told in Hebrews that there remains a rest (or a Sabbath day). 5. Revelation tells us three times the last day church will be keeping the commandments of God, which also contain the reminder to keep the seventh day Sabbath From Genesis to Revelation the seventh day Sabbath and the commandments of God are a constant theme for Gods people There can be no doubt whatever that the Lord Jesus desires His followers to study the Word of God. Jesus said: Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39.
