The Citizens United decision was a setback to campaign finance transparency, opening the floodgates to special interests and anonymous billionaires. So today I joined a bipartisan coalition of House lawmakers to fight back. We introduced H.R. 20, the Government By the People Act. Like we already do in Oregon, the bill would encourage small donations by offering a tax credit. I hope youll read more about how it works, and support our campaign to return elections to the people, not just the high-dollar donors.
