The City Skate Park is temporarily closed from today! As you all probably remember, its being permanently closed soon (with no word yet on a replacement, boo), but if you walk past the site dont panic: this closure is just for four weeks, for site surveys. Next month it will reopen! The permanent closure will occur in February. Weve been very concerned about this whole saga: the skate park is one of the few places in the city where young people are not only welcome, but actually catered for. Its always packed and an important facility. A new one needs to be a high priority for both the city council and the State Government.
