The City of Hudson will begin fire hydrant flushing throughout the City from October 14 - 25. Fire hydrants are flushed two times a year to clear the lines of accumulation. In some instances, residents may notice discolored water. Even though the water may be discolored, it is safe to drink. However, residents who experience discolored water are advised not to use their laundry facilities while the water remains discolored. In some instances, the brownish water may stain clothing washed in the water.
