The City of Tshwane officials will be in Region 1-7 at the different Halls at 08:30 on Monday July 29, 2013, to kick-start a recruitment drive for TSHEPO 10 000, a multimillion rand skills development and entrepreneurship programme targeting unemployed youths throughout Tshwane. Tshepo, which means “hope”, was launched by the Executive Mayor on 25 July 2013 at the Innovation Hub. The City of Tshwane is looking for 10 000 young people to train and develop to help the City to maintain services. They will also be trained to form cooperatives to set themselves up as entrepreneurs. The City will only be handing out forms on Monday and Tuesday, 29 and 30 July 2013. The forms must be returned from 6 and 7 August 2013. Candidates are allowed only one opportunity to register for the programme and no money is required. Tshepo 10 000 is open to every person between the ages of 21 and 35 who meets the following criteria: a Must be a Tshwane Resident (Proof of Residence or Affidavit) b Able to read & write c Have a valid ID copy e Must be unemployed f Prepared to undergo specific training and establish certain basic systems to enable them to benefit. For example, Bank Account, Register Youth Cooperative Only 2 500 youths will be placed in the first quarter of the 2013/14 financial year, while the remaining 7 500 will be placed during the course of the year.
