The Cohen mystery continues... He has been running a fever, mildly fussy, not sleeping, high heart rate, increased gtube leaking, distended belly, poor perfusion, mottled, and sluggish cap refil and lower pressures. A belly x ray showed an ileus in his bowel. He is no longer feeding and his g tube is draining all of the contents of his belly. Its a very large amount. So hell be back on tpn. Monitor his labs, keep draining his belly and hope we can stay ahead of this. Right now finding a cause is the unknown. Could have been from his rapidly advancing feeds, changes in medication, or something else unknown. m.medlineplus.gov/ency/article/000260.htm
