The Company I work for (Hardscapes Construction) has sponsored and decorated a Christmas tree to benefit Chrysalis House through the “Lights of Kindness” charity event this weekend taking place at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. Chrysalis House is one of Marylands premier providers of addiction treatment services for women, and allows them to live in-patient with their children. The mission of Chrysalis House, Inc. is to transform the lives of women and children by providing comprehensive recovery programs and services that support the development of their inherent strengths, talents, and potentials. This year is the inaugural Lights of Kindness event which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County and is hosted by Homestead Gardens and Merrill Lynch. There are 19 different local charities being represented by a decorated Christmas tree sponsored by local businesses. Visiting the event should be a really fun way to get in the holiday spirit and benefit local charities!! Every dollar donated at the event or via on line voting counts as a vote for your favorite tree. The charity represented by the tree receiving the most votes also receives added dollars from the event. We are really hoping that this tree will win it for the Chrysalis House!
