The Concept of Rights is Anti-Christian fightingtheevilsofmammon.blogspot.au Many people, both Christians and the unsaved think that they have rights, whether they be God-given, human or civil rights. Any statement that even questions the existence of rights is shot down as nonsensical, immoral or absurd. However, the question that faces all individuals is whether humans have rights. Psalm 24:1 tells us that The earth is the LORDS, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. This means that God owns everything including our own lives. God being the Creator of all things is the owner of all things. He is in control of all things no matter what happens. The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil (Proverbs 16:4). Thus, God is the ultimate authority of anything. Therefore, humans do not ultimately determine what occurs in the world; it is God who controls all the worlds events. On the other hand, human beings having a free will. However, God is the one who determines the outcome of human actions. The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps (Proverbs 16:9). John 7:17 also implies that God does give us humans a free will, but He is the one who will ultimately determine the outcome: If anyones will is to do Gods will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The concepts of rights, however, is one that implies that humans can do as they choose. It is of the spirit of entitlement. It is distinguishable from liberties, because a right is that which confers an entitlement, whereas a liberty is that which permits a freedom from interference by factors external to the individual. A right is that which demands from others what an individual wants, not that which cares for others. A liberty does not, but is merely that which to be free from unwarranted, illegitimate criticism, rebuke or obstruction. When God allows people in the Bible to act in a certain way, it is a command, not a choice. For example, Genesis 1:28 tell us that God told Adam and Eve to: Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. A right is that which one has a choice to do, not acted upon a command. However, everything God tells humans to do is a command. To fail to obey His command is to fail to love God. To fail to love God is to hate God, and love ones carnal self. Despite God giving us freedom to reject or serve Him, all are obliged to obey God. All his commands are to be obeyed, whether one is unsaved or not, because God is the ultimate Lawgiver. He is not only of the moral Law, but the Law because only He is perfect in goodness, righteousness, justice and holiness. All are subject to this Law whether they obey it or not because God will judge all of us one day. I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom (2 Timothy 4:1). Therefore, that rights confers choice on people to act as they choose is anti-Christian. As such, this set up a regime made by people to be independent of God, and therefore ignoring Him, in their contempt for God. Rights, is a human-made invention, a social construct made by people to satisfy their hatred of God.
