The Confucius Institute at the Victoria University of Wellington is proud to host the Wellington Regional Chinese Bridge Speech Competition, which will be held on Saturday, 10 May 2014, at Queen Margaret College. Detailed information regarding the Wellington Regional Competition and the registration form can be found in the attachments and on our website. The Chinese Bridge Speech Competition will be held at three levels, i.e. at regional level in Wellington, at national level also in Wellington and at international level in China. Winners of the Regional Competition will be invited to take part in the National Competition here in Wellington on 17 May 2014. A same day return airfare will be covered by the organisers. Winners of the National Competition will be invited to represent New Zealand in the Final in China. International airfares and accommodation in China will be covered by the Confucius Institute Headquarters. We encourage you to register for the speech competition, as this is not only an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their Chinese language proficiency, it is also a gateway to various Confucius Institute scholarships and studying opportunities in China.
