The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria allows the President to be in office for a maximum of 8 years only. By 2015, President Jonathan will have spent 6 years in office but if he contests and wins in 2015 for another term, he will have spent a total of 10 years, contrary to the Constitution which stipulates 8years maximum.
