The Copperas Cove Police Department answered a call pertaining to a residential burglary with intent to commit another felony on Tuesday at 10:27 p.m. in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue where nothing was damaged but money and an iPhone 5 were stolen. $2,100 was the monetary value assessed in this case. Cove police responded to five accident reports on Tuesday, three of the five happening on Highway 190. The first report came in at 7:36 a.m. from the 1500 block of East Highway 190. Next, the 1200 block of West Avenue B was the scene of an accident reported at 7:41 a.m. The third accident of the day was reported at 8:46 a.m. from the 1000 block of East Highway 190. After that, an accident was reported at 12:53 p.m. from the 300 block of West Highway 190. The last accident on Tuesday was reported at 3:47 p.m. from the 900 block of Industrial Ave. Also on Tuesday, Nicholas Michael Thoen was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Plains Street with two warrants, one for failure to vaccinate an animal and the other for not having a collar on an animal where and when it was required to do so. Cove police assisted the Coryell County Sheriffs Office in arresting Thoen with a capias pro fine for possession of over two ounces but under four ounces of marijuana. Benny Ray Manning was arrested in the 2000 block of Josie Circle on Tuesday at 2:18 a.m. for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Andrea Denise Montenegro was arrested on Tuesday at 8:03 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Avenue B with a capias pro fine for speeding more than 10 percent above the posted limit, traveling 53 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone. She was also arrested in connection with an accident that had just been reported at 7:41 a.m. from the same location on West Avenue B. One juvenile was detained at the Copperas Cove High School area on Tuesday at 4:14 p.m. for possession of under one gram of a penalty group two controlled substance and under 28 grams of a penalty group three controlled substance. The juvenile was later released to a parent. Mitchell Anthony Wiley Jr. was arrested at 5:26 p.m. on Tuesday in the 200 block of West Avenue B for driving with an invalid license and not having motor vehicle insurance. Desa Ahlan Smith was arrested on Tuesday at 11:26 p.m. in the 300 block of Creek Street for being drunk in public. A citation was issued in this case.
