The Counselor is not the self indulgent fantasy of famed director Ridley Scott but rather the mumbo jumbo of screenwriter Cormac McCarthy who waxes too philosophically and creates a standard religious reality that says that bad people will pay for their badness, unless of course you are the wide mouthed bass lass Cameron Diaz, who already knows this having dated Alex Rodriguez, and having taken the part in this film which, other than the opening scene of Penelope Cruzs facial and verbal expressions of ecstasy at the mouth play of the Counselor gets a B plus. The movie though merits only a C.
