Fernand - Male playing age 20-35 -Tenor/Strong Falsetto ( Rock) Edmond’s best friend and rival for Mercedes’ affections. Danglar - male 20-50 Baritone/Tenor A greedy, envious cohort of Fernand. Danglar hatches the plot to frame Edmond for treason. Villefort - male playing age 20-45 - Tenor/Strong Falsetto The blindly, ambitious public prosecutor responsible for sentencing Dantes to life in prison. Forever haunted by his past actions, Villefort becomes a man of God after the war. Once confronted by a ghost from the past he takes his own life. Abbe Faria - male playing age 30+ Baritone/Tenor ( can be a character part vocally, singing not essential). A priest and brilliant thinker whom Edmond meets in prison.
