The Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division today affirmed the decision of the Federal High, Ilorin Division affirming the appointment of Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali as the Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin. The Appellate Court dismissed the appeal of Professor AbdulRasheed Ijaodola challenging the appointment process/procedure and upheld the findings of the Learned trial Judge that the appointment of Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali as the Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin was done through due process and in accordance with the provision of University of Ilorin Act. His Lordship, Hon. Justice Chidi Nwaoma Uwa after the delivery of lead judgment commended Counsel particularly Professor Ijaodola (who was physically present in court) for their industry in the brief writing.
