The CrossFit Kids Curriculum (Lesson Plans) for preteens and teens is Standards Based, aligned with National Standards for Physical Education (NASPE) and comprises a basic class outline and block planning for introducing the CrossFit stable of exercises and skills and beginning a comprehensive physical education program within a structured environment. The curriculum has been designed for middle school and high school students and is intended for public and private school use, but will also work at a CrossFit affiliate or home school location. In addition to providing 30 classes in three progressive Blocks, the 2012 revision also includes a fourth Block of 10 advanced classes and a compendium of 107 WODs and 17 Advanced WODs for middle school and high school and scaled for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Novice abilities. Links to essential issues of CrossFit Kids Magazine as well as to video demonstrations of many of the movements and workouts supplement the curriculum. The curriculum can be printed but is also great for use onsite on a smartphone or PDA where links to exercise demonstrations can be used real time.
