Jason pointed out. Maybe shes not a demigod. Annabeth said desperately. She is a demigod. Jason, Percy and Hazel answered at the same time which shocked them. Shes got the pull on each of us. Piper said. But more on the children of the Big Three, I guess. Cant you feel it, Annabeth? Leo asked. Annabeth was afraid of that question because she knew that Skyler was her sister. Even without Athena claiming her, Annabeth knew that Skyler is an Athenian like her. What if shes the one who needs to find the Mark of Athena? Percy sounded hopeful but Annabeth shook her head. I cant possibly send my younger sister in a dangerous quest alone. She said softly as she gazed towards the kid who patted Festus head. She may be clever. She may be smart enough to survive but shes still a kid. The others shut up and looked at Skyler who laughed in glee when Festus whirred and shifted. We cant bring her to the Alodai either. Jason said. We cant leave her here. Shell just do something to find Nico. Hazel said. So, Hazel, Leo and Frank will try to track down Nico while I send Annabeth off. Piper, Jason and Coach Hedge will stay in the ship to take care of the kid while waiting for the four of us. Percy said. Who says Im staying here? Skyler asked. She was already standing behind Leo. You have to, Sky. I can call you Sky, right? Percy said. Sure. Skyler stared at Annabeth. I have my own plans though. We should stay together, Sky. Jason said. Yeah, we should. Leo agreed. Skyler looked skeptical. What do you think? She asked Annabeth. I think theyre right. Annabeth said. If my sister thinks so, why not? Skyler said with a shrug. But if I deem that you cannot help me in saving Nico at all, Ill do something about it. This is his last day.
