The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it. ~P.J. O’Rourke The Republicans in the White House have been weak-kneed and ineffective since Obama was inaugurated. Most of them seem to be disengaged, rather complacent and incapable of fighting for our Country. To call them a public servant is laughable – they’re not serving anyone but Obama. They cruised right through the first two years of Obama’s term carrying their white flags, bowing and kissing Obama’s and Pelosi’s backsides hoping to get a few accolades from the American public. Their problems started way back in November of 2006 when the Democrats took the House and the Senate. This should have been more than a wake up call for Republicans, but it didn’t get them off their seats and on their feet. Instead, they adopted the ostrich stance, burying their head in the sand and spending their time playing ‘gotcha’ using scotch tape and band aids instead of repairing their fractured party. Republicans should have worked 24/7 vetting and searching until they found a man or woman who had the credentials to be Commander in Chief of our Nation in 2008. But, as usual, they were so busy playing “cat and mouse” within their own party that they had to settle for a worn-out old Senator flip flopper without an agenda or a message that would engage and appeal to the populace. For the Republican Party, the Presidential Election of 2008 was a political farce – they were a day late and two dollars short. Fast forward to 2013: nothing has changed; the Old Republican establishment is still hanging out in our White House, twiddling their thumbs enjoying the good life while America is fading fast in front of their eyes. They can’t pat their head and rub their tummy at the same time – they’re in the campaign mode and attempting to buy votes for the 2014 elections. Instead of concentrating on the most critical issues like the recession, out-of-control spending, funding the Muslim Brotherhood, downsizing Government, securing our borders, and jump-starting our economy, they are preparing for the 2014 campaign trail. Republicans have apparently lost their marbles; they’re contemplating jamming another bill (Immigration Reform) down our throats. This Immigration Reform bill does not secure our borders and has the potential to destroy our Nation due to the ramifications that will follow once it is passed. Republicans are playing with fire and once again playing into the hands of the Obama Administration and Democrats. This so-called reform will open the doors to grant citizenship to Stealth Jihadists and possibly thousands of Syrian refugees that Obama wants to bring into our Country. There isn’t a Republican Party anymore, just a fractured group of people fighting amongst themselves. Instead of resolving the many problems at hand that are destroying our Nation such as Obamacare, the Fast and Furious gunrunner tragedy, the Benghazi Murders, and the latest scandals, they opt to burden us with one more costly bill “Immigration reform” will not appease the Hispanics, gain votes for the Republican party, or keep our Country safe. The GOP’s inability to represent the American citizenry is obvious – they have betrayed our Nation and lost our trust.
