The Democrats keep asking me for money so I wrote this and from now on when they ask, Ill copy and paste this into my response email. Feel free to use or take! Heres my message: Democrats have done some good things such as passing the Affordable Care Act but I would be much more supportive of the Democrats if and when you start to really fight hard to: 1. Cut military expenditures and reallocate the money towards jobs and training for infrastructure improvements and renewable energy. 2. Stop supporting charter schools and work on fixing and funding public schools. 3. Stand up the the Republicans instead of always caving. 4. Stop enabling Israel to terrorize the Palestinians. 5. Fight like you life depends on it for a living wage minimum wage, retirement for all, and to protect Medicare and Social Security. 6. Set up a federal oversight bureau to stop police brutality especially against minorities. 7. Pass meaningful gun control legislation. 8. Work to get big money out of politics. 9. Start a new, massive job training and job program. 10. Punish companies that evade taxes or move their workforce overseas. 11. Tax the rich. 12. Give meaningful relief to students with massive student loan debt. Young people who do the right thing shouldnt be punished for going to college. 13. Keep housing affordable and give underwater homeowners meaningful debt relief. Pass incentives to keep housing in the hands of local residents rather than greedy absentee landlords. 14. Enact tough pollution controls and protections for wildlife. 15. Start taking global warming seriously and implement strong policies that will move us towards clean renewable energy. 16. Stop blaming teachers for everything and start funding schools and ending poverty (the documented true cause for low student achievement). 17. Pass legislation that gives all workers the right to unionize and collectively bargain for better wages, benefits and working conditions. Without a union workers have no recourse when they are treated unfairly. 18. Work to help small business rather than huge multinational companies. 19. Move us away from a war economy and towards a peace economy. Society cant move forward as long as we are devoting so many resources towards war and killing. 20. Prison reform. Stop putting children in prison. Stop for profit prisons. Dont incarcerate nonviolent offenders for life. Provide alternatives. 21. Stop militarizing American police forces. 22. Stop bullying so many countries and launching drone strikes. When you start doing that, Ill start sending more campaign contributions!
