The Department of Education (DepEd) is hopeful and ideal that we, teachers, will be able to do our task in teaching our K to 12 students. But lets face it. We are groping in the dark with the HOW-TOs of delivering our lessons in our subjects. Yes, we have curriculum and teaching guides. Yes, we have training and seminar-workshop. But the reality is that we are like amateur scientists/inventors and our students are like Guinea pigs. We have incomplete teachers and learners modules. Imagine using a teachers and learners module subject for revisions. You can even see the comments of the editor printed on the right side of the page! Yet these are distributed in training, seminars and workshops and we are already using it in our classes. We do not know where to get the corrected and final versions of these instructional materials. And the sad news, we do not have a choice but to work with what we have. In modesty, I am an above average teacher and I can imagine how the ordinary teacher do his/her job. Poor, Filipino learners.
