The Department of Employment has just released employment statistics for the Clarence – Coffs region. The report said 7.3% of people looking for work in the Clarence were unemployed. 12.3%, or 2,767, people aged 15 to 24 who are looking for work do not have jobs either. About 45% of the Clarence Valley population is not looking for work, whether they are discouraged to do so, have redundant skill sets or are retired. It also said there are 1731 vacancies in the North Coast of NSW. Are you looking for work but cannot find any? Do you find the job climate too tough?
