The Department of Transportation recently proposed new crude by rail regulations. They are a step in the right direction, and address concerns I laid out in a letter I sent to Secretary Foxx earlier this month. However, there is more that should be done. Public safety is priority number one, and that’s why we need to make sure our first responders have all the information and resources they need to quickly and effectively address emergency situations.
