The Department of the Navy (DON) invests significantly in their Leaders of today and in growing their Leaders for tomorrow. The developmental programs below are available to Department of the Navy personnel. These programs are grade specific and the courses vary in length of time. Below you will find a brief description of each program and additional information is available by accessing the program page at the links provided. The DON is currently soliciting nominations for the following programs: - Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP): GS-12-GS-14 and Equivalent; Military E-7-E-9 and O-3 (Promotable) and O-4. The Executive Leadership Development Program offers participants with extensive exposure to the roles and missions of DoD. In addition, the program helps participants develop a greater understanding and appreciation of what war fighters refer to as being at the tip of the spear. Applications are due by 16 June 2014. For more information click here: https://portal.navy.mil/donhr/TrainingDevelopment/Pages/ELDP.aspx - Capitol Hill Fellowship Program (CHFP): GS-13 and Equivalent; Military grades O-3 through O-5. The Capitol Hill Fellowship Program is designed for executives and managers who require a high-level working knowledge of Congress. It may be used to fulfill requirements in certain management or executive development programs. Commands are to submit endorsed nominee applications electronically to OCHR by 29 April 2014.
