The Design Trust is really proud to be involved for the 3rd year running with the New Designers exhibition, and in particular with the One Year On show. This year we will be coordinating again a full, information-packed day during the first week of New Designers on Thursday 26 June from 10.30am – 4.30pm. This event is aimed at recent design & craft graduates, anybody who is thinking about starting a creative business or become a freelancer, or any creative sole trader or freelancer who wants to get practical business advice. Its not just for startups! There will be interviews with journalists, talks and themed panel discussions with a wide range of professional organisations and businesses from across the UK, who can help you to start and run a better creative business. We are working with over 25 partner organisations and businesses who specialise in online marketing & selling, studio provision, business support & selling opportunities, legal/intellectual property, finance & funding, and much more. Speakers include: * Barbara Chandler, design writer for the London Evening Standard will interview Jason Wilary-Attew, Head of Buying for John Lewis. * Grant Gibson, Editor of Crafts magazine * Doug Richard, ex-Dragons Den and Founder of the School for Creative Startups * and many many more! There will be opportunity to meet with many of the experts after their panel discussions or talks for further questions or networking.
