The Direct Provision System was debated in the Dáil this week. Speaking in the debate I noted that: It is the States sovereign right to define its borders and regulate movement into the State but that in an increasingly unstable world weve a duty to help people in need ... The current system is not working and needs reform and I support Ministers Fitzgerald and O Riordain in their efforts to change it.
