The Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) in partnership with the 627th Force Support Squadron (FSS) will be hosting a food show and culinary competition on 4 June 2014 at the American Lake Conference Center (ALCC). This post is to solicit candidates for the culinary competition portion of this event. If you are interested in competing, please submit a short narrative (100 words or less), stating why you should be chosen to compete in this event. Contestants will be cooking on Mobile Kitchen Trailers (MKTs) and must be available 14 May 14 for MKT and Food Handlers training. This competition is limited to four teams composed of two people each. AFSC 3M and MOS 92G members are prohibited from applying as primary chefs, but can apply as sous-chefs for each team. All members of JBLM are eligible to apply for this competition. By 2 May 14, please submit your narrative to Capt Amanda Turcotte ([email protected]) and Lt Krystal Winkler ([email protected]). Selected candidates will be notified by 7 May 14.
