The #DoverQuartet, Caramoor’s 2013-14 Ernst-Steifel Quartet-in-Residence, recently swept the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition, taking home the Grand Prize AND all three of the competition’s Special Prizes: the R.S. William & Sons Haydn Prize for the best performance of Haydn, the Székely Prize for the best performance of Schubert, and the Canadian Commission Prize for the best performance of a newly commissioned work. Needless to say, we are ecstatic to have them with us for our 2014 season!
