The Dunya can be like heroin, your are apprehensive at the beginning, but once you choose to step in to this life with forthrightness, determination, and commitment, calm overtakes you, you realise you cannot leave, you want to be there initially, then very quickly you notice the need for a greater indulgence becomes greater, the more unsatiated you become, the more desperate you become, until you stop yourself at the mirror unable to recognise yourself, you are a mere soulless hollow shell and only exist to feed the habit. The only way to overcome this is to try and imagine you dont exist. Who you are quickly begins to fade, your dignity, shame and identity merge into just another person in a suit commuting to work. You find someone who has the same addiction, who at first eases your suffering, until you both become addicts and enablers slowly descending into emptiness...until you crawl alone and fall into the pit of your grave. And then you wake up young again, your eyes gain focus, you breathe in and then the pain begins..
