The Dutch Oven Diva will prepare sweet and savory dishes, using maple syrup as an ingredient, at this year’s National Maple Syrup Festival “Dutch oven cooking is a fun way to socialize and make new friends,” said the Diva, AKA Lesley Tennessen, a member of the International Dutch Oven Society. She and her pals, Tina and Steve, will bake, cook and provide samples to Festivalgoers in Brown County State Park. “Theres something special about good food that draws people together. I enjoy watching the expressions when I crack an oven lid to let folks peek at the cooking inside. The crowd draws in a little closer, and then the wafting aromas hit them. Some look like they want to jump right into the pot!” Jump into the National Maple Syrup Festival, March 5 – 8, in three Brown County, Ind., venues – downtown Nashville, The Story Inn and Brown County State Park, where the Diva looks forward to meeting you.
