The EAC decided to send 600 health practitioners to Ebola-stricken countries. 315 from Kenya, 250 from Burundi. If infected, volunteers return to their countries of origin to get treatment (*cough* spreading?*cough*). Burundi doesnt have infrastructures/treatment to handle this catastrophic scenario; I crossed the Rwanda-Burundi border two weeks ago and our side didnt even have infrared body thermometers! Heck, since October, 17 deaths and 1,000+ cases of cholera have been reported in Burundi. Washing our hands properly is still an issue!!! This is going to be a shitshow.
