The Effects of a Broken Covenant When we look at the state of our people here in America, it confuses those who dont have an understanding of scripture. On one hand we appear to have overcome the heavy burden of slavery, only to later realize that we have entered into another form of that same slavery. The accomplishments of the 5 percent encourages us that we have overcome. While the punishments and degradation of the 95 percent pushes on. Most of these things go unnoticed by us, as we are too occupied in the pursuit of happiness and the American dream. We pay more for the basic amenities of life and have excepted these things as the norm. Our wages are taxed and we are forced to pay for a police force that has constantly mistreated us. So in fact, through the institution of tax, we pay our oppressors to oppress us. These are indeed the effects of a broken covenant. Our people have had many marches, sit inns, boycotts, etc. etc., but have yet to remove the heavy weight that hovers above us. Although these things give us temporary relief, they ignore the overall cause of the problem. No nation, people, or group of people would have ever had power over us if we had walked in His statutes. It doesnt matter how many marches or riots we participate in, until we address and confess the iniquity of our dealings against YHWH our Elohim, The Effects of A broken covenant shall continue on.
